Been using it for a few days now.  Like it but, it sometimes has a problem when I try and go somewhere.  It will tell me the website can't be found.  I know it is there, just seems quirky.  Sometimes I try again and it works.  Anyone else have this problem?

This happens to me with IE and firefox. It seems more like an ISP routing issue.

First time I used Firefox it did that for a few weeks.

I uninstalled it. Then reinstalled it and have no problems now.

I stopped using Firefox because it would keep losing my settings, and finaly it somehow lost all my bookmarks..

So I'm back to EI, with Microsoft anti-spyware beta, which seems to work well.

Huh, the only time I have had problems with "page not found", it has affected everything that uses the internet--Mozilla, IE, ping, tracert, etc.

Still using the same bookmark file I've been using for years, as imported and exported and changed.  Neither IE nor Netscape nor Mozilla/Firefox have ever mangled it.

Not a page not found... It is an internal 'Alert' from within Firefox asking me to check the spelling.

I came home friday and when I started Firefox  it wanted start a new profile.... all my stuff was gone !  I looked around on their homepage and found that it had a glitch.
I don't remember the Exact directions, but your bookmarks are still there if you didn't delete anything.

Close firefox, go to services and make sure firefox isn't running. Do   Start>Run> type in firefox.exe(space)-p>enter.
When the window opens up select the default user (or whatever name you put on the profile when you originally set it up.
Fixed mine, everything back to normal.... YMMV

I installed Firefox a couple of times before it ran right.  Been going for 2 months with no problems now.  If Thunderbird would behave I'd like to use it, but haven't been able to get it going properly.

The problem you speak of happens in any browser, happens to me alot during the day.
And I use safari during the day, but it also happens in IE and FF.

I had that problem too. It was a problem with my cable. Have your ISP check it out for you. You should probably run a tracert. If you get any *s, it's your ISPs problem. Make them check it out and fix things until it goes away. It took my cable Co. 2 visits to get my problem cleared up. They had to replace some of their hardware.

It is not my ISP.

It happens when I use the built in google search in the toolbar.

It happened soon(hours) after I installled the program.  I have been with same ISP for 10 years, pretty familiar with their habits.

No way I can go back to IE now that I have experienced Firefox.  Firefox does sometimes crash on my when I push it hard (3-4 windows, 10-20 tabs in each window including lots of graphics) for days at a time on my relatively under-powered machine.  Otherwise it is great and I love fast, tabbed browsing.
