Saw the movie today, pretty interesting. It is a documentary about the film "Deep Throat", the culture of the time and what happened to the people who made it, most notably the director, Harry Reems, & Linda Lovelace. I was a kid when the movie came out, and never saw it or the other early 70's porn. It was interesting to see how the elite and middle America embraced the movie even after Nixon's goons tried to shut it down. Part of it also reminded me of "Boogie Nights", where the original film makers said there movies were art and how the hate the straight to video stuff. Personally I think early porn was laughabaly bad compared to the more modern stuff. |
Then you must have also seen the third installation in the series "Strep Throat." that was the movie where Linda Lovelace went deep throat on ..... I'll spare you the details... |
So what happened to them? I know LL died a couple of years ago. She looked like she had been rode hard and put away wet, egads! What about the rest of them? Merlin |
Harry Reems became a land broker in Utah and a good Christian. The director was screwed out of his profits by the mob. The movie made 600 million! Not to shaby for a film that couldn't play in most theatres. Linda Lovelace joined the feminists and claimed she was raped throughout the movie. ![]() And then decided to make money by doing more sex photo shoots when feminism didn't pay the bills. |
