Saw this on Wired.
Donkey Land
If measuring campaign contributions is an accurate barometer, the technology industry leans slightly Democratic. According to USA Today, roughly 53 percent of the industry's overall donations went to the Democratic Party or its candidates in the last election. But figures vary widely within specific companies. At Microsoft, for example, 60 percent of the donations went to the Democrats. And if the folks at Google had gotten their way, the Democrats would not only be in the White House, but they'd control Congress and probably parts of Canada, too. An astounding 98 percent of political contributions coming out of the Silicon Valley search-engine company went to the Dems.

I'd say I click about 5 ads a year on Google's page.  I'll just drop that to zero.

What do you think of the YAHOO search engine ?

I have found that the YAHOO engine get website updates MUCH faster.

(Goggle is anti-gun.  They have a similar advertising policy as Ebay)

Google is free.  I never click on any banners so it cost them money to keep me happy.

Keep using Google but don't click on advertiser’s banners and it doesn't make them any money.

It's funny because the far-Left thinks Google is part of the corporate military power structure that's turning America into a police state.  Their evidence was that it's hard to find pictures of Abu Ghraib using the image search, and because they're going to do business with China and accept state censorship.

When you get as big as Google, someone, somewhere wont like you.  Roughly 10% of the population are permanent malcontents who aren't happy with the way things are, no matter what.

I quit using google along time ago. Not because of politics, but because yahoo usually yields twice the results of google. Don't believe me, try it. Not only that, it's alot easier to search for pictures. Yahoo also has alot more to offer user wise.
