Saw this on Wired. Donkey Land If measuring campaign contributions is an accurate barometer, the technology industry leans slightly Democratic. According to USA Today, roughly 53 percent of the industry's overall donations went to the Democratic Party or its candidates in the last election. But figures vary widely within specific companies. At Microsoft, for example, 60 percent of the donations went to the Democrats. And if the folks at Google had gotten their way, the Democrats would not only be in the White House, but they'd control Congress and probably parts of Canada, too. An astounding 98 percent of political contributions coming out of the Silicon Valley search-engine company went to the Dems. -- Tony Long |

It's funny because the far-Left thinks Google is part of the corporate military power structure that's turning America into a police state. Their evidence was that it's hard to find pictures of Abu Ghraib using the image search, and because they're going to do business with China and accept state censorship. When you get as big as Google, someone, somewhere wont like you. Roughly 10% of the population are permanent malcontents who aren't happy with the way things are, no matter what. |
+1 If you totally boycott every little spec that doesn't share your feelings, Like Doublefeed said, "you'll have to stop eating." The farmer growing your greenbeans may support Gore, who cares, it's his right to do so. |
