First thing's first... Enable file/print sharing and right click on your music folder, select sharing options.

Second, make sure both computers are on the same workgroup

Third, go on your laptop and try to access the music folder on your original computer, drag and drop and wait a while as they transfer.

I think you install itunes on your laptop and then connect your ipod.  It will ask you if you want to transfer your songs to the new account.

There's a way to set up iTunes such that it won't automatically start the program when the iPod is plugged in. I don't remember exactly how it's done but that's how mine is set up.

Then just plug it in. It will show up as a "removable drive" on your computer, then it's just drag and drop

If it's showing up as a removable drive it's probably in Disk Mode, and you can't listen to any songs transfered to the iPod using Disk Mode.

I am not positive but i think if you do that it will delete all your songs since you have none on itunes. It  will think that is what you want since thats how your itunes is but then again im not 100% sure.

mine always shows up as a removeable drive on my comp, but you're right: drag and drop FROM computer TO iPod will not work, but the REVERSE will.

1.  Burn a CD

2.  Upload to IPOD, download back to new PC

3.  Use the IPOD as a harddrive

4.  Setup a network and share the files across it

Enable disk mode on the iPod.
Download a free program called iPod Agent
Install it on the second computer.
Attach iPod to second computer.
Run iPod Agent and copy the songs to your music directory.

Attaching your iPod to a computer with iTunes installed with no music will erase all the songs on your iPod if you have iTunes sete to automatically update your iPod. YOU ARE WARNED!

Just start dancing around like an idiot to a weird song, like the commercial. It'll work itself out cause it's a Mac product.

Yeah, if you're a moron and tell it to.  It pops a window up and asks if you want to sync it with the new computer, all you have to do is click no.
