Can night sights lose their glow? I have a set that are not working.
Just curious as this has never happened before.

They last about 10 years or so.  The manufacturer should be able to insert new lamps.

As noted, after 10-12 years depending on Trijicons or Meprolites, they lose their "glow", a new set is all ya need to be good for the next decade.

ps - I get mine NS pistols out sometimes, place them all up on the bed in the dark and compare the newest set with the oldest. It's easy to see the differences between their ages that way.....

yup, most night sights that don't require charging by an external light source are powered by tritium. Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that has a half-life that does dim after time.
