Why is it when you are a kid you can live off of 3 hours of sleep and be ready for a full days of running around and playing. But as an adult the bed is such a nice place you don't want to leave it?

Why didn't it work the other way around? Why not at a young age was sleep so great and at an old age you just want to get out of bed.

That is because the older you are the less sleep you need. Most Doctors will tell older folks not ot go to sleep untill they are good and tired no matter what time it may be.

All I want to know is, where can I get some?

Actually, it worked the oppisite for me.  The older I get the less sleep I need.

And I agree, I also view sleep as a waste of time, but sadly our brains need it.

Sleep is not for the body, but the mind.

I'd probably sleep less if I had something to do when I woke up.  I start work at 5pm so I usually sleep in as late as I want to.

I don't care who you are  8 hours of sleep a night is healthy and good for you.

If everyone in the nation could do just two things to improve mental and physical well being.

1. 8 hours of sleep.

2 Drink more water.

I swear I can remember the statistics, but something like 80% of americans are chronically dehydrated, and 75% are not getting enough sleep.

ETA: I also think that too much sleep is bad for you.

I have had myself on a strict 8 hours sleep schedule , no more no less. And 2 liters of water a day.

And man I feel good. You might try it.
