What is your #1 favorite gun and why?

As for me:  Due to being a broke college student, I do not yet have a collection of my own.  I do, however, love shooting my boyfriend's AR-15 because it is fun, easy to use, and easy to clean.

Please be nice -- this is my first post in General Discussion.

Tied between AR-15 and AK-74 for me. Accuracy, Dependability  and cheap ammo and aftermarket add ons and parts.

Favorite gun we currently own, or favorite gun we'd (realistically) like to own someday?

In case you can't read the receiver on this one, it's an unfired full-auto Colt M16-A1 with factory-attached Colt M203 40mm grenade launcher. Currently my dream gun.

M16 - and after years of having fun with short barreled versions, I'm back to my love affair with the standard 20"A2.

Either that or a beltfed...ain't nothing quite like a beltfed....

Thanks guys. I remember the first time I shot it. Grampa, Dad, my brother and I, shooting at targets and cans set up on an old fence rail in Raymond, NH. I was about 12 then. Man, those were good times. It stays in the safe a lot these days, but every now and again I still go shooting with Grampa...

I got to say that I really enjoy my Ar and my Win 300winmag. I really love to shoot all my weapons. But the 1 that really stands out that I have SO much fun with is my rem870  5077. I love the way it eats up a target with 00 or 000buck shot or the way it blasts a 1 gallon milk jug filled with water .

a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.  Just kidding sweetheart.  For sheer fun I love my customized 10/22

But those issued M16's with 203's just give me a hardon.  Go Fast switches tend to do that to me.

My favorite gun is my winchester 1894 trapper in .44 mag. Shooting .44 special there is virtually no recoil, its accurate and lots of fun.
