WHO'S YOUR DADDY! !!!![]() OK...I know there is still over a half to play...but so far, the Men From Troy seem to be doing pretty well. Conversely, the Sooners are beginning to look like a shitty HS team. Lots of you dudes were REALLY crowing about how fucked up a conference the PAC 10 is and how OU was going to whup SC's ass BADLY. IN your FACE! I stated that the game would be decided in the trenches and that IF the USC hogs gave Lienart time, he would carve up the OU DBs. Well??? |
AU had problems with VT. I think USC would have seriously smoked them. The better match up would be for 2nd place, OU and AU. |

So why weren't you talkin any smack??? Waiting until it was safe?? |
Talking "smack"? I'm an old man...and don't understand the term. If you mean bragging without any evidence to back it up...I guess it's because I see no reason to brag on something that had yet to happen. Plus, I'm really NOT that partisan. I am just having fun tweaking those among us who were CERTAIN that OU was going to crush USC. I played four years of football and can still remember a couple of the basic axioms: The number one is that the team that BLOCKS and tackles best, usually wins. USC is doing both very well now. I wrote here at ARFCOM a few weeks ago that IF the USC hogs could protect Lienart and stop the OU ground game it was going to be a very long night for the Sooners. The USC hogs are having a GREAT game and Leinart is slicing and dicing the OU DBs, and the Sooners can't seem to get their wagon running yet. If the trend continues, and I've seen nothing to indicate it won't, then USC will win BIG. |

I'm not a USC fan at all and hoped OU would win (even though I'm not a huge OU fan either). But what I saw from OU this year and what I saw from OU in their final 2 games of last season, I think they should change their names from OU to chOke U. My goodness, they simply got their asses handed to them. And I'll tell you OU's problem. They are used to going out, scoring early and having a great defensive stop on the next possession. That usually takes the wind out of the sails when it comes to lesser competition. Then they just blow them away. But after watching this game, the LSU game last year and the Kansas State game before that, it has become clear that a team that takes it right at OU will beat them. Why? Because OU plays like a big bully. As long as they can run and throw all over you, they do so. But if they bloody your nose and you fight back, they fold. They simply can't handle having their own nose bloodied. Sad but true. Now, I'd just like to say that if an SEC team goes undefeated next year, they better damn well be in the national title game. Auburn might not have beat USC, but they damn sure wouldn't have had their asses handed to them like OU did. OU didn't have the team speed that USC had. That something the SEC has in abundance......speed. Auburn's defensive backfield would not have been burned as many times. |
Nope. I like VT...they have a great program and I think that given better coaching, they would have beaten Auburn this year. I've been a fan of USC all my life. I grew up in LA. We moved to Virginia after I retired from the Navy. |
thats too funny!
