...Your mom turns 60?  I know this is a mile stone in ones life and all but I'm not all up on my etiquette(sp?) at age 34.  We are obviously planning a party but I'm looking for ideas on what people did or plan on doing for their own parents at that age?  Suggestions and ideas appreciated (and I already thought about getting her an M-60 )

I ignored it, at her request. Today is their 40th wedding anniversary. I ignored it, at her request.

Get her some flowers or a ring with her birthstone!    Get her a card that says how much you love her, with sixty blank lines.... for her to fill out with sixty things she wants you to do for her!!!!!

That should keep you busy!!!

Tell her--"I love you, Mom--and thanks for being such a great Mom."

Stand back as the tears flow.

Same thing--*SHE* will not think she was a bad mom.  Time to bite the bullet and grit one's teeth.

If one is able to do that, perhaps she will be a great mom for the rest of her life and make your children happy spending time with "grandma."  Grandmas are very, very special.
