I just got a 40gig ipod (not the HP version) for my PC.  I put the disc in and i get this "InstallShield Scripting Runtime Error 1607"  I have looked and looked for a fix and I can't understand this garbage they are trying to tell me.  So if anyone has a more simple way to fix this then please let me know.  I am running XP Home Edition.  Thanks

#1 - reboot computer

#2 - retry it

PS - we go the mini-Ipod.   LUV it.   I'm downloading more right now.

Signed up for the Itunes.   I love being able to buy one song, instead of a whole album of stuff I won't be listening to anyway.

Tried that and the same thing pops up.  I even downloaded it from their site and I get the same thing.  So still looking for a fix

You can use Windows MusicMatch if needed, but the Apple's ITunes does a great job.
