Excuse my ignorance...but why don't Catholics believe in the correct interpretation of the word of God?

And please...let's keep this civil.

I just want to learn from people with REAL knowledge on the sudject.

He was asking a question, pure and simple. I doubt he was trying to offend anyone. Believe me if Sarge wanted to offend someone, he could very easily.
