What make and model of pistol did Tom Cruise use in the movie "Collateral"?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Funny - just rented this last night. Towards the end (no spoiler - just call it "on the train"), it look like a stainless S&W semi-auto. Or maybe it was an FNC....

The gun he had on the train was a S&W, but he had acquired that one "by other means".

That's the one!

Would it be...

USP Compact

or

USP?

Any bets?

By the looks of the trigger guard, I am betting it's a standard USP.

Leave it up to the AR brain trust. Thanks for the help all!

Is it just me or do you think Robert Dinero was the original person they had in mind to play Cruise's role in this movie?

They made Cruise look just like him1!!!

Didn't think about that, but, yes. Dinero's little brother in "Heat 2". But Cruise did a really great job with the character in Collateral.
