I am guessing that all of the western movies and TV shows (like Gunsmoke) are pretty close with made up plots. One thing that I noticed though is that everyone in these western towns had guns. I know times are a little diffrent now, but when did wearing a gun all the time in town become odd and strange. What caused this? There is only about 100 (give more than take) diffrent between the time I mentioned and now. When was the big change? When the "cowboy age" ended with the car being mass produced? or what? |

You can still in almost every state but I am asking when it became odd to see it and you hardly ever see anyone open carrying. |
