Go to Hardees!  I went to Hardees yesterday for dinner, I ordered a Double Bacon Cheese Thickburger without onions (yuck!), it was incredible.  It took a little longer than most fast food places, when I opened the box the burger was wrapped only halfway... and by halfway, I don't mean the highschool punk behind the counter was lazy.  I mean... it was already neatly wrapped so half the burger was wrapped and the other half was covered so I could feed my face with one hand and drive with the other without making too much of a mess.

Ok, on to the burger itself.  The thing had 2/3lb of beef... it was like a burger I would make at home, times two.  Everything else kicked ass too.  It was dripping in fat, pouring down my chin like a real burger.  Fortunately, they gave me napkins.

If I remember correctly, it was around $6, and I was full.

I got back home, and decided I'd see how many grams of fat I had just lined the arteries of my heart with... Nutritional Value
1300 Calories
96 Grams of fat
Holy shit... how fat people don't sue them into the ground, I don't understand, but I'm hooked.

They have a store locator... but you guys on the left coast are out of luck:
Store Locator

*Disclamer* I don't work for, nor am I in any way affiliated with Hardees *Disclaimer*

The guys on the left coast can go to Carl's Jr., its roughly the same thing.  Hardee's burgers are awesome, though expensive, and the curley fries kick ass too.  For further proof, the "rodeo rider" commercial for the Western Bacon Thickburger.

I like Arby's, but they're so expensive... to get out of there full you either have to get one of their deals (i.e. 3 roast beef sandwiches for $5 or something) or you have to spend nearly $10.
I've never even heard of the panda.

I just tired Carls Jr's "Pastrami Burger".   Sounds disgusting but 1/3 pound beef patty, about 1/2 inch of pastrami, big rings of fresh red onion, lettuce and mustard was heavenly!!

I'm also hooked on their "Loaded Breakfast Burritos".  If they sold the salsa on those things I'd buy several bottles.

Hardees is the last place I would go. I like my meat to taste like meat not thier crappy secret sauce they use to hide the flavor of thier roo-burgers.

Nothing like Taco Hell at 1AM...
6 hardshells, a large Mountain Dew, and I am full

Their is a competing Taco chain in NE. Taco Johns...Tacos taste a bit funny though..

I've been eating at Checkers recently. Not what i'd call a fantastic burger by any means, but it's good and its a break away from the mcd's and burger king.

I just read an article about the burger because all the fast food places are going towards a lighter menu but Hardees is selling a burger with (2) 1/3lb patties 3 slices of cheese, 6 strips of bacon with mayo and butter on the bun. It even made the international news wires.

Arby's!

I love those burgers.  I only have a little less than $2 budgeted for my two meals each day at work, and I skip one just to afford one of those!  There used to be three Hardee's within three blocks of where I work.  Now I'm down to one.  If that one closes, I'll have to figure-out a way to buy a car so I can still eat those burgers.

BTW, I did some of the electrical work for free in Hardee's first franchisee's first restaurant to help the two owners open (what I think was) the third Hardee's.  As a favor, fifteen years later they hired my nephew as their head electrician.  I'm very familiar with their food.  I couldn't count how many free meals I've had there over the past 40+ years.z

Why the hell would anyone go to McDonalds for a burger anyways?  I mean shit they are NASTY! Its just a tiny shriveled up thin, dry hunk of mystery meat between two soggy peices of bread and 2 tiny slices of pickle, plus a gallon or two of McDonald's ketchup.

The Hardees here went out of business and closed up shop recently. I just noticed the other day, I guess that shows how much I care about Hardees.

There is one here, but its out of the way pretty bad.

I went to somewhere besides the normal Mcdonalds today.  Got some double cheeseburgers, get to work to eat, they gave me Filet of fish sandwiches.

So I tossed them since I  sure the hell dont want them, go to Wendys, get some fries and a bacon cheese burger, they fucked it up there too.  I swear it looked like the samn damn women at the drive through too.

Good cheap fake chinese food. But it hits the spot when you don't want to fork out $40 for some real chinese food.

For about $8 I can get pretty dam full to the point I don't need to eat for the rest of the day.

I am hooked on Orange Chicken and BBQ pork right now hmm hmm.

Hardee's are all gone in No. VA to my knowledge, but they've got some up the country, iirc.

I hate the McD. burgers in the boxes...how the FUCK are you supposed to eat those things going down the road????  I should get in a wreck, and then sue them.  THAT would show them!

Great post!!!
Out here on the commie held west cost we have Nations.  Nations is a sorta fast food, sit down breakfast and burger joint.  They make some mean pies too.  A normal nations burger is enough to stuff a horse...but they do sell bigger ones.  they will try to put on mayo (UHH, EWWW, PUTOOOIE), but you can have them hold the mayo and get some BBQ sauce on the side.
Short of Nations... In-N-out isn't bad.  I like the double meat, I usually "meal deal" it so I can get some fresh cut frys and a soda.  After that BK isn't bad... their double burgers have a good flavor.

The best burgers are always at little mom and pop places.  I just ate a one in my town this last Friday and got a phat burger, huge helping of frys and a healthy size salad for under $8.

Oh and Arby's is 5 for $7 out here... but the one by me doesn't ever run this deal :(
