On Monday I am getting a huge bonus.  For my reward I will buy an AR.  I did have a real nice Colt HBAR match but had to sell it after 2 weeks to pay for a divorce lawyer.  It has now been over three years and I now have the funds to get an AR.  I want an all purpose gun for plinking, SHTF and home defense.  The local gun shop as a 16" bushy in the "post-ban" config for $725 NIB.  I would really like to have the evil features and but I really don't know if having a those evil parts is worth an extra $150.  I figure I could always add on later or get the barrel threaded.  What do you'all think?

Get as many "evil" features as you possibly can, seriously.

And shop around; chances are you can get a much better price if you "piece it together".

Check the AR Discussions forum, and a guy (M4CARBINE, I think) got one for $650, NIB.

Here is one for $660.  If you going to get a neutered gun, buy a cheap one!

Get the evil features.  They are $1000 cheaper then they were this time last year.

Damn, that's a good deal right there. Makes me want to head into town and buy another AR.
