Dad had a 12ga he used for hunting pheasants. About the time I 12 or so we found a Remington Mdl 12 .22 rimfire pump in the wall of the house. Who knows how long it was there. Or why. I remember, even at a very young age, playing at the neighbors house and seeing dad come home with a pheasant or two and being amazed that that little red shell he put in the gun had the energy to propel a small pellet with the force to kill something. I've been interesed in ballistics and the mechanical designs of guns ever since. When I joined Boy Scouts I got to shoot every summer at summer camp. Really enjoyed the heck out of that. So I "sort of" grew up around guns. More so than some of you guys, less so others. |
