This is purely a question born of idle curiosity. If a corporation buys a gun, does an individual have to fill out the 4473 and undergo a NICS check? Say IBM wants to buy a case of Glocks or ARs for its security staff, how do they go about it?

It's a pain in the ass but yes it is done. Whoever is the officer of the corp receiving the guns is subject to the NICS check.
