Yup. The other guy ran away pretty fast and that fellwo looked to be stuck there with a hit to his foot. bummer. Hope he's alright

Little known rule over there: You see a bad guy laying on the ground, put a round in him, cause bad guys have been known to try and take you with them if they aren't totally dead yet. Better safe than sorry, so you see a guy laying in a doorway with a weapon nearby (especially one that you have just taken fire from) BANG BANG! Yup. He's done. Some may think it cruel and inhuman. But they know nothing of combat. |
CAnt see it ,buffering thing sucks. Will try again later when its not so busy. |
Double tapping is SOP for most units. Until you get to the LOA you will shoot every bad guy you come across. Even the "dead" ones. We were told to shoot even if the guys head was halfway off. I dont think you are allowed to after you cross the LOA but I doubt most units pay attention to that one. |
When you are dealing with people who frequently use suicide attacks, you zap any of them that you see, dead or alive, to keep from being their next victim. In war, you do what you have to do. I have no problem with that. |

I heard about the Marines finding a hostage this morning. The Iraqi man only knew one word in English. When the Marines stormed the building they found him tied to the floor, one story above the "exection chamber." He kept shouting "Uncle!! Uncle!!" so the Marines would know that he meant no harm. If you only know one word in a war zone with Americans advancing, I guess "uncle" will do. For some reason, it made me well up with pride to hear that we saved one person from them. I guess because I had wished ultimate pain and death on the terrorists in the other videos. I just wanted to reach out and spike those motherf___ers in the eyeballs. Now, the Marine Corps is taking care of that for us. And for that, I am thankful. They are the tip of the spike, but we are the base, the hands that plunge it deep into the terrorists' heart. Semper fi. bd |
I have heard stories of dead (or near-dead) VC's pulling the pins on their grenades and then holding onto the until our guys went to check the dead. Any of this going on in Iraq? |
why did I get a warm feeling inside when he said that? |
|
I think that guy may get hit in the foot, if you watch closely. Also notice the EOtech on the rifle of the guy who is being interviewed, and also on the rifle of the guy who says "he's done". Could be the same rifle but its interesting to see something besides an Aimpoint on there. |
Our boys are wise to this tactic. I imagine a large part of the training before they went into Fallujah was learning how to recognize booby-traps and to avoid and deactivate them. (Get the hell away and call EOD....That seems to be the best way to me...) The boys over there fighting know what they are dealing with. God bless em. |
Me Too! Many Thanks!!! Now, off to go view it.... |
