I'm considering it - opinions? And yes, I am a competent Linux user. |

My main PC runs SUSE 9.0 Professional exclusively, and will be upgraded to 9.2 Pro once the package arrives. I've used Linux as my primary OS at home for several years, having used SUSE, Red Hat, Knoppix, Slackware and Mandrake (hated Mandrake). I've also putzed around with FreeBSD. I'm not a gamer so that isn't a factor for me. My mail/fileserver runs e-Smith SME Server 5.5 (a Red Hat derivative). My Compaq laptop has XP Pro on it. It's handy have a Windows box around to check out things, since I do some consulting. I'm thinking about redoing it as a dual-boot setup with XP Pro and SUSE 9.2 Pro, especially since the wireless networking stuff is supposed to be greatly improved in SUSE 9.2. |
