From all I had heard this was supposed to be a concession speech...a unifying speech...it sounds more like "we are coming to get you" speech... don't they know that they are beat???

Yup--and he knows he's just a weak (but lucky a time or two) ambulance chaser. He is quite young to have no real future--and he's angry about it. Very angry. Plus he has to go home to his cow of a wife. Blech!
