The one in my town is sort of okay, at least when it comes to guns. Gun selection is decent. I have bought a couple of guns there over the years. But as someone else said, a couple of years ago they got rid of a lot of their stuff so the place seems a lot more empty now, and they've attempted to fill the space with some overpriced luxury crap that nobody really wants. They used to have a big knife display case with a good size selection, but they got rid of it and now the selection is very small. They have more cheaper knives in the clamshell packaging than anything else. Prices on stuff is only okay, most stuff being overpriced (especially ammo). I shop there occasionally, mostly just to get ideas for a project or to see if they have something that might be easier to buy there than ordering online (usually not). I like their camo clothing, lots of neat patterns. But prices on that stuff are absolutely insane. They've had a bad reputation for customer service for years. Employees will ignore you and not even acknowledge your presence, although that seems to have improved somewhat recently. |

| Bought a Wicked ridge Blackhawk XT 380 crossbow at a great sale price online. I went to pick it up when it arrived in store, and the clerk said that it's my first purchase with them, if I sign up for emails and buy any regular price item, I get 50% off the crossbow. I paid about $120 for the crossbow after all the discounts. The regular price item was the silencers for xbow, which they had in stock. I've bought ammo online a few times since. Good sale prices. |

They have good/fair prices and are honest and competent to deal with. The one in my area has a gun/optics counter that's as long as a football field and one very young man working it. No matter what time/day of the week there will be a line to be served, so its always a chore to get things done there... but they are not retarded, they are professional and I'd say the best box store experience going around here. |

I've always loved sportsmans warehouse. When I was 18 and living in Phoenix, I quickly realized that while I could buy handguns from a private party, I couldn't purchase the ammo for them from the store. A really nice guy at sportsmans explained why (the law), and offered to teach me how to reload with a clinic they were offering in store. I could buy the powder, primers, bullets, and brass there (if needed) and just manufacture my own. I've been an avid reloader for 20+ years because of that that guy took the time to show me the way. He easily could have told me to fuck off and that I couldn't buy what I wanted, but instead took the time to care. Generally, that's been my experience with employees of the place across MANY different locations; they're helpful and passionate about the products they sell. |

There is a Sportsmans local to me. I live in a town of 50k people and we are lucky to have it. Gun prices are decent and reloading component prices are good. I often find really good prices on clothing and footwear. They will do extra 50% off of discounted clothing. Some gems to be had for sure. |

Used guns are hit and miss. I have gotten some great deals and other times the beat up used gun is more than the new one in the next display case over. Holiday/sales prices can be decent. I like that I can order guns online and pick up without a transfer fee. My local store will not price match. Show then a physical advertisement from a local competitor (Al's) and they look at it and said they can't go that low on the price. Luckily for me there is a Cal-Ranch next door and they honor price matching. |

They didn't even have 9mm bore brushes when I went there. They had no .32acp at all. Their selection of "social ammo" was terribly limited, especially for shotgun ammo. Their prices on spare mags were $10 more than anyone else around here. While there I got a call about my silencers being ready to pick up. Sportsman's was empty when I left. The GOOD gun store was packed when I got there. I probably won't bother going back to Sportsman's Warehouse. |

They used to carry so much more, over the last few years they’ve restructured and reduced inventory like so many other businesses. It’s kind of disappointing going in there now, I’ve bought a lot firearms there over the years though and they have always been great about price matching. |

This thread reads like Sportsman’s Warehouse is running a tiered store system of haves and have nots. My local stores are shit. Always deserted and nothing interesting at all. Some of these replies make me think people are referring to a completely different chain. What a wild swing of opinions. |

I have one near me and have purchased a few guns from them, they started stocking suppressors a couple of weeks ago, No complaints, although whoever does their CC accounts is retarded, pay off the balance then get a bill for one or two dollars then nextmonth. |

Probably reflects how close a better alternative is located. The SW in Chandler is a ghost town the last couple times I've been in it. But Scheels is about 10 minutes away at the Chandler Mall, and the firearms area is a literal fucking zoo all day, every day. Actually the entire store is a zoo most days, but the firearms area is always packed, you have a hard time walking around or seeing into the cases. |
