They are the kind of places where traffic signals should be turned to flashing yellow after dark so people stopping at the red lights are not robbed. I would be surprised if this is anything other than the random local taking advantage of an unsuspecting couple that stopped for gas. Thats just my opinion. |

Dude failed to act immediately and when he would have a legal basis to do so. Being in FL might save him. |

It’s not about how many people you kill, it’s about how many you save.

It’s only been a couple of days though and the state could change that. The two in the car, regardless of how we think they should have acted, were the victims. They should not and don’t have to be victims of criminals. Let criminals fear law abiding citizens, not the other way around. The wording in the Florida Statute seems to make this clear. Eh, the area is borderline for sure, but look at the beginning of the video, and then the totality of the circumstances. Guy walks up on the car, pulls both front and rear passenger door handles only to find them locked. Then the woman gets out of the car to confront him. If this is me and my wife in this situation and dude starts pulling on her door handle, the last thing she's doing is unlocking, then opening the door and getting out to confront some random guy who just tried to forcefully open her door. 99% of random innocent couples, the woman is screaming at her man to peel out of there, either while the dude is pulling the first door handle or at worst when he first walks away. NOT exiting the car herself, then letting her man wait around to plug the dude after he does his shopping. There is more to this story for sure. |

I’m sure she would have acted differently, but this women chose another path. She must have been that 1% missing from the 99% that would scream. What is the “more to the story” that I’m missing? Based on the fact BSO let the driver/shooter/victim go without arresting him tells me there isn’t much more to the story than a random local criminal trying to slide a car and gets confronted by a women he didn’t expect to be so aggressive. If it was not a forcible felony (attempted car jacking) there is no other way to justify the shooting. If there is anything to suggest it was other than that, the shooter (victim) likely would have been arrested, |
|
Where is the entire video, why is it convenient edited just before the shooting. I think it’s politically edited. We don’t get to see how he was approaching the car the 2nd time. A woman in Fl was just ok’ed for shooting a man walking towards her in the parking lot while they argued. He never raised a hand, pulled a weapon and he was shit to death, you all saw that video. Now this guy just underwent an assault by the perp and the perp was returning a second time, based on the above case with the woman, this guy here is more than justified. We shall see how it plays out. |

I just googled “is East Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano a safe area?” “Summary: If you are looking at the far eastern end of Atlantic Boulevard near the coast, it is considered a safe, active area. As you head further west past Federal Highway and toward Dixie Highway, the environment becomes more transitional and experiences more urban crime and safety concerns.” To get from I-95 to the beach, you go through the “more transitional part the experiences more urban crime and safety concerns.” This gas station is in that “transitional” area. |

Pompano PD used to be a few blocks south of there. They gave it to BSO in the late 1990’s. The area was known as Hammondville Road until the street name was changed to MLK. The North County Detention Center is just a little west. It has always been a low income, high crime area. Possibly one of the worst areas in all of Broward. I haven't been there in a few years because I don’t see any benefit of getting off the freeway there. Like Okeechobee Blvd. In WPB and Atlantic Ave. in Delray to a certain extent, the area needs gentrification. Outside of the beaches, Pompano doesn’t have a whole lot going on. Even the beaches aren’t great. I’d go north or south. |

People used to come in and ask if they wanted to buy food/crack/pussy. She saw someone fall out of a car and die in the parking lot. Everyone who lived in the area just shrugged. Life ain't easy in the hood. |

You see your girl tangling with homie? Go run over and shoot him, he’s earning it. Guy walking away (after going shopping!) and then you toss shots? That’s a tougher sell. |
You should move to the right lane, where the rule of vehicle and traffic law still exists. You will not survive here. You are not a wolf, and the left lane is the land of wolves now.

Life ain't easy in the hood. If this same situation occurred in the 1990’s I’d be inclined to think they were buying crack. That was the default when white people were involved in anything in certain predominantly black neighborhoods. It was the opposite of what we now know to be racial profiling. (Not a racist statement, just fact.) |

The other weird thing about SFL, you could be in a nice neighborhood, make a wrong turn, suddenly feel like you were in Liberia. Wild times. |

Y'all think that when blue shorts guy was heading back to the SUV, he was just going to offer the SUV guy a cigar as a peace offering? No. Didn't think so. Looks like SUV guy was probably calling the cops when blue shorts guy returned. He probably made a tactical mistake by not making the call from inside a closed locked vehicle with the engine running and transmission in gear (or from somewhere a block or two away). |

First off; gotta say, you really have to hate these scumbag news media fucks and the way they edit and chop things up. These 2 links show more of the security video. The first link shows more of the initial interaction (although still not in one unedited shot, from when the black guy tries and fails to open the two locked door handles). It appears that she’s a really dumb bitch with no common sense or impulse control, and opens the door because the black guy punched the window. Looked like she tried to hit him with the door. Then gets out and shoves him as he walks away. WTF. https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/man-injured-person-detained-after-shooting-near-pompano-beach-gas-station-bso-says/3862771/?amp=1 These scummy news fucks STILL won’t show an UNEDITED/UNCHOPPED shot from the guy trying to open the LOCKED doors, to the woman opening the door. That the different links all have different snippets of the security cam footage, indicates that they probably HAVE the uncut footage, and each fucking studio CHOSE how they wanted to chop the video up. This 2nd link, though. I’m thinking this is the one that might get the shooter charged. Towards the end, there’s a clear uncut shot of the black guy leaving the store and walking past the SUV, when the shooter opens fire. I don’t see any indication he was headed AT the shooter when the first shot is fired. https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/pompano-beach-gas-station-shooting-investigated-as-man-shot-still-critical-bso-says/3863330/?amp=1 |
