 Pak Defense Arms Company Peshawar - Factory Tour & Brief Overview - M4 223 bore Rifle Pakistan Can't understand them but compared to the khyber pass aks ive seen these look like they are actually made right with proper cnc etc. Still a knock off though

Well they have nukes, so creating something built almost 66yrs ago shouldn't be a challenge. The first AR was built before computers, cell phones or even cable TV. For comparison most folks didn't have a TV in their homes until the late 40s and early 50s. The M16 went into service around 21yrs after the TV was sold to the public. |

The AR was made with what were at the time, very advanced manufacturing techniques. Forged aluminum and molded polymer as opposed to machined steel, metal stampings and wood. Cut to over half a century later they are some of the easiest guns to make and the guns made out of metal stampings are very difficult to make. The AR-18 is my favorite example since it was made as a metal stamping gun but now as the BRN-180 its made out of aluminum forgings.  Irony can be pretty ironic |

I see all of the M4's have the third hole on the receiver for full auto, but it appears to be empty. I wonder why? Attached File |

I was going to poke fun at the CNCs running on bone stock Windows XP but then again we still have places in the US running their old CNCs on DOS and borrowed time. Someone could make a nice little chunk of income virtualizing some of those old DOS controllers or emulating the whole thing on a Raspberry Pi |
