This is at a local place, price to be determined. At first I overlooked at as I don't know anything about .357sig and don't care. But when I mentioned it to a buddy he said it's a grail gun and super rare being a stainless German frame and in original box. So I did some research and prices are all over the price so figured I'd ask here. If I can get it under $1000 I feel it would be a good deal and .357sig doesn't look that expensive Attached File Attached File |

4 sold on gunbroker, not sure the time period. Note this link goes to completed auctions sorted by bid count, high to low. Auctions with bids = sold auctions. https://www.gunbroker.com/guns-firearms/search/completed?keywords=sig%20p229%20elite%20357%20sig&pagesize=48&sort=9&view=1&timeframe=1 Most gun shops will use this type of gunbroker search to price used guns. $1300 on the lower end and $1550 on the high end. ![]() I would rather have a 9mm so it would be a pass for me. |

I would show him this 9mm that sold for $981, and offer him a bit less because it's a 357Sig. And offer folding cash. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1198842050 |

Or tell me where it is and I’ll buy it. |

Awesome gun, but is it worth the price? Only a "sig guy" will pay what it will probably cost. 357sig is great for shooting people, but expensive if you want it to be a range toy. The gun is heavy for it's size and not ideally suited for carry. Originally Posted By diesel1: Were the German slides the folded sheet metal units? |

When they made 40/357 they had to machine the slides and then later switched 9mm to also use machined slides. p229's were never made with the folded slide. The p228 were |
