A young man didn't get paid for mowing a lawn so the officer tallied a local store into giving the officer a deal and he bought the kid a bike. Course the kid called the cops in his own grandma    |

Poorly written article. One interpretation: Great. Teach the kid that you deserve to get paid by your Grandma for helping her out with her yard work. How about smacking Junior upside the head for calling the cops and make him mow Grandma's yard for free every weekend until fall, then switch to rakes followed by snow shovels? Alternative interpretation: Somebody in the neighborhood stiffed the kid and Grandma wanted to give him the money that he had earned but she could not afford it. I'm going with Scenario #2. |

I got stiffed once for bush hogging a field for a man I went to church with...............the deal was, I traded the work for a weekend using his cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN. Once I got the job done, I went to him and told him which weekend I wanted to use the cabin, and he told me he never agreed to the deal, though I reminded him of the exact time he made it. When he refused, I asked him for money for the fuel for the tractor, and he told me he wasn't going to pay me as he didnt make a deal and that I mowed the field for free. So, I left emply handed.............. Needless to say, he called on me once again and I told him I didnt make deals or do work for liars..............his daughter and wife found out and tried to pay me or let me use another of their cabins, but I refused and told them I'd make sure everyone knew what kind of person he was |

Kid is kind of a shit. I mowed my Grandfather lawn for years for nothing save lunch usually [and it was a big ass farm yard] And I had to ride a couple miles back and forth to do it. I did get paid to paint the outside of the house though, hence my loathing of 50 year old rotten and rickety ladders and 2 story houses.  But, if he was promised $$ and she stiffed him, that is BS and her son or daughter should have picked up the financial slack as it was their mother. Quality nursing homes are going to be far down on Jr's list................ |
