If you are willing to go slightly further, grinnel glacier is amazing in glacier. Take the ferrys. Its worth it. 7.5 miles with ferrys. Crypt lake in waterton is 10 miles if you take the ferry. The last half mile is so cool. You go across a narrow trail on a cliff face up a ladder in the cliff, through a cave, up the scramble with a chain and bam at the alpine lake. If you do moab there are tons of shorter hike but you wont find waterfalls and lakes. Great basin in nevada has wheeler peak which has some lakes and such. The bristlecone pines are awesome too. |
