First of all, holy shit, we had a SHOWING!!! 78 runners, consisting of 45 vets 18 Adult noobs 14 kids 1 poor soul being returned by cop car Huge thanks to our sponsors, Geissele, Esstac, MOA Targets, Capital Armory, and Meridian Ordinance. Special recognition to the support staff, Daemon_23, Jamie_LEO, Dialtone, Slip_space, DKlic6, BKPKR, Craig24680, TheRadBarron, and everyone else who helped this event run smooth as silk! Also many thanks to HDLS for manning the blackstone and keeping up fed when needed, and BajaGringo for the best tortillas ever as usual. Also for Chili, who sadly could not make it buy provided much imagination, support, and swag for the event! I could not have imagined this many people attending and running our inaugural event… This event was a brainchild of myself and DKlic6 after Crockett, and in turn it is the kissing cousin (thats allowed in our neck of the woods) of Crockett. We saw a great geographical void and calendar openings so this year we have hit the ground running on both sides of the Appalachians. With that in mind, I wanted to emphasize family participation and getting young runners in. TheRadBarron and his wife absolutely kicked ass running the kids range up the hill from our main course. The kids course was similar but scaled down and with .22 AR rifle only. They all seemed like they had a great time, and had their own prize table even. Shoutout to the Indiana HTF boys who showed up in great numbers, and glad we got to push the noobs through to totally not be in a cult…. We wrapped up another Cola War and it was a blast. Huge congrats to every runner who showed up. It's always great seeing newbs and walk-ons in addition to old faces. I think there was 14-15 newbie runners. Staff & Volunteers A massive thank you to our Cola Warriors who staffed the event and helped: Atropian_Defector, Jamie_Leo, Damon_23, TheRadBarron, [Name], Slip_Space, BKPKR, Dial-Tone, & HDLS. You cooked the food, ran the runners, set up the obstacles, and kept things moving all day and night. Also a shoutout to our hosts for providing an excellent venue. What a great well run Cola War. To the many newbies that showed up, thank you for deciding to come and participate. You are the new blood that will help keep Cola going. Thanks to all the staff, host and property owners for making this happen. For what started as a “Cola Zero”, no sponsors, no prizes, no food. The grub and prize table was quite impressive. |

Very fun running in cola so close to home!!! Great event and thank you to all the staff for a very well run event!!! Loved seeing all the kids compete and talking crap to each other of the course. Congrats to all the winners and all the noobs who showed up and gave it their all! |

Fantastic time at this inaugural CW!!!!!!! Huge thank you first to Atropian_Defector for hosting this event, next to all the hard working staff members that also made it a well oiled machine - Damon_23, Jamie_LEO, Dialtone, Slip_Space, DKlic6, Dial-Tone, BKPKR, Craig24680, TheRadBarron, HDLS. It takes a huge amount of effort to run a CW, thank you very much again.  Thank you to all the sponsors, and it was great to see all the newbs get first pick from the prize table, very classy move and I have no doubt inspired them even more. It was great seeing and hanging out with old friends and meeting some new ones, especially @slarti and the guy pictured at the bottom, he was Augustine's +1, he burned down the obstacle course, treating the barrel like it was a toy, true beast mode. I will do a picture dump later after I have resized them and I also need to set up a youttube account so I can add videos I took. The only damage I took from this trip was a rock to the windshield on the way there, so will need to get it replaced this week and of course my pride at penalties, 2 pistol, 3 rifle, clearly need to work on left handed rifle.

Atropian_Defector and his minions pulled off a hell of an inaugural event. Appalachia representing keeping the Cola flame burning bright. I had a wonderful time hanging with the bros and running people at the range. Thank you all so much for coming and giving it your best. Impressive lot of newbs not only in number but ability and potential. Saw some excellent shooting and chugging at the range. Some of those guys are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Huge thanks to everyone that made it all come together and be such a success. Loved seeing some of you vets that I haven’t seen in a few years. Made new friends. Coming to terms with my weaknesses. I can still hear mustangduck saying “go dry fire” for the next 24 hours after I shit the For what was supposed to be a 0 event, the sponsors were all “lol f that” and hooked it up in epic fashion. Thank you so much for your continued generosity. I love you all and can’t wait to do it again. |

Was an awesome time....did my first night run.....got lost, was epic..... Looking forward to the next one. Thx to all the sponsors. My son and Grandbabies showed up to visit....was immediately shadowed by Mustang Duck....Oh hey, is this your son Slarti....Oh, well, you gonna run aren't you, here come on, I got some weapons for you....come on...you're gonna run aren't you....come on, you look like you could run...... Pretty soon....he was inducted into "not a cult"...... Heat was BRUTAL....suffering was EPIC.....

I was surprised when he handed my PMags back and one was still almost full. He rocked it... Was great meeting those on Wed and Thurs before I left for employment reasons. Memories made. Lessons learned. Peeps, chug and Malort consumed. From a N00B that did zero prep, I don't regret it... My Fam just grew. Thank you for the hospitality and showing me the way of the COLA Warrior. |

What an incredible week(end)! I am beyond happy to finally have a Cola in my backyard! First things first, a massive thank you to our host and HMIFC, Zach for toiling to make this all happen and sharing his homegrown pork with us all. To our landowners for letting us do shenanigans and providing an opportunity for one of our own to get 1st LT levels of lost in the process. To our Staff for the immaculate vibes, hard work in the brutal heat, and excellent radio etiquette. To our sponsors for going above and beyond, providing goods we could dole out on noobs (16) and child soldiers (14), then everyone else. Overall, this was one of my favorite Colas. It’s been tough for me personally to attend recently with little ones at home, so I very much enjoyed the whole thing—and thank you to my wife for helping make that happen. The sheer number of noobs and kiddos doing runs makes my heart full; Cola is sustained by recruitment, and this one was peak. Watching new blood suffer is worth it every time. Surprised myself this weekend. Took top overall at the first Cola in KY for my second career win—proving to myself the first one wasn't a fluke. We were ragged out from setup and running on empty during staff runs, so turning it around for a top finish felt incredible. I look forward to Cola Warrior Bluegrass 1 next year!  |

Eli and I finally made it to home in Texas, what a fun week! Atropian has a super nice place, and he is very generous to let strangers from the internet come puke on it. Thanks as always to Mr Bill and our other sponsors. We sure had a lot of premium loot for being a no loot event lol. Eli and I took off early to go compete at Legion RnG a few hours away from Bluegrass. One of the ROs on Stage 2 saw my patches and rifle and greeted me as a fellow ColaBro, he is one of Daemon_23’s minions. He asked why I wasn’t at ColaWarrior this weekend, and I told him I was  Attached File Some special mentions: -Slarti for a new high score for ColaWarrior at 1450 minutes . But nonstop contagious smiles throughout and came back to finish what he started. Much respect!-Son of Slarti, I don’t know his name. He went from “Im here to watch” to “Time starts when you touch the rope” in about 20 minutes. I was going to give him a brief on how to shoot my guns, but within 5 seconds of him picking up my pistol I knew that he would be fine. -Whoever is making these, they started off really nice and somehow got better! Time for some tough love- The average time was 103 minutes, that’s with excluding our wandering nocturnal explorer. It was a close range with nothing dynamic, no movements, and no moving targets. This COF was very much a test of the basics, and the scores tell us it did not go well for most of us. Let’s show up next year more prepared, weapons squared away, leaner and more skilled, ready to execute the hard things on demand on the first try even when it’s hot and your heart rate is up and some mean guys (that actually do care about you) are yelling things that crush your soul. Better yet, don’t make Cola a once a year thing. Train, compete your local matches (low resource demand both time and money), and make sure you can out lift, out run, out shoot, you of yesterday. |

I had a fantastic time, and it was my inaugural Cola. I'm lucky that it was only 20 minutes from the house. OP hosted an incredibly good event, and I'm already planning on the next year's festivities. My only gripe with the whole thing was not being healed up well enough to run due to an ankle injury
