If you are in the market for a new optic I genuinely ask that you consider just how generous Vortex is with this event! Their products are great and their warranty is top notch. Twice now they have repaired my older mother’s binos when she dropped them. Amazing folks and we can’t thank them enough! Really would like to make it 3 of 3 but my oldest niece scheduled against it for a wedding in MSP. That is nearly the only thing I would miss it for.....Don't let A_D be the king bullshitter of the fire, his stories are stale and boring .....Hate to miss out of more raffle swag, that Vortex scope would be sweet....Noobs, take the chance and go, great camaraderie, absolutely peaceful, beautiful scenery, helps if some of the cool pups are there again to play with too....the gear queers are super helpful explaining their Tactical fetish gear and will most likely walk you through you finger fumbling with it if you ask nicely....AlphaJag will probably chart a land nav course to take you through the poison oak, best way to learn is pain and suffering.... |

Alright, we have a lot of folks coming in! That’s amazing. I want to see 100 people this year. Why? Because this is Tun Tavern. This is what lets me know I can call Jay or…Jay and can count on them. I hope they know the same applies this way. This is how I know Allen is solid and all of the guys I meet are solid. This is Wobbs being Wobbs and it is his birthday! This is community. …and if I am being 100% honest this is how I get to play with NVGs I can’t afford. Really though, this is a rally for patriots. Specifically for you. Look, pay out of pocket on this every year, but the benefits and connections are truly immeasurable. I am just glad to meet you all because every year you remind me there is a normal world. A lot of you are on the fence. It is rural, it is hours away, and Canoeguy is kind of an asshole. But I am telling you, it is worth it. No puking(maybe), no running(I hope), actual showers(kind of). All bullshit aside. After we have done the classes we want and stuffed our guts…I wouldn’t trade the time around the campfire for anything. You have all been amazing and truly and I look forward to meeting you all again both new and old. |

Looking forward to it. The Friday night meal has been great, and the money raised goes to a great cause. And if you're up for some good tunes, you'll want to stay for the music afterwards. Take the time to do the distillery tour. It's a great way to learn the process and see what makes Axe Handle bourbon different from the other guys, plus you get to try samples from in process to barrels in the rick house. The camping area is a beautiful piece of land, and it's free. the camaraderie around the campfire lasts all night into the morning hours. There are some classes you may be interested in, some other activities that may peak your interests. do some, do none, just come out and meet some good ol' fashioned patriots. |
