Do you hand out candy on Halloween, or do you just turn off the lights and go to bed early?  Do you decorate your house for the occasion?

Or is Halloween just another day?

You got to celebrate halloween, it is the best holiday of the year.

wheres the "I-put-all-of-my-100-lbs-of-high-speed-low-drag-gear-and-terrorize-the-neighborhood-vandals" option?

It's the devil's holiday! I pearch my roof with NV and shoot the flying demons.
Oh yeah, I put candy a bowl of candy on my porch, but for some reason the
kids seem to stay away from my house.

I have an arab outfit my Mom and Dad brougnt me from Egypt years ago.  Plan to put it on, throw an AK with a Kerry Edwards sign in the muzzle over my shoulder and attend parties.  Think any libs will screw with a guy with an AK?

Mrs B and I go out to dinner.

I keep wanting to sneak up on the kids, scare the bejeebers out of them, and take their candy.  Mrs B tells me no.

I'm told there are sections of Philadelphia where, if you don't hand out candy, there are consequences.

I celebrate it, but not by candy or trick-or-treating.

My family has always had a bowl of candy for neighborhood kids. The only problem with that is

when we would go to halloween parties my dad would stay home, lock the door, turn the lights out,

and eat the candy while watching TV.

I go with my kids because they enjoy it, otherwise this is the one "holiday" where I am a true Scrooge.

As long as we don't actually celebrate it on sunday.  That is a big no-no here in Utah.  Any holiday that falls on sunday has to be moved back a day to be celebrated.  It happened with the 4th of July this year.  We had to have all of the celebrations on saturday because God wouldn't appreciate us having them on sunday.  Kinda gets on my nerves.

I don't have any kids and I live in a fairly secluded woodsy area.  No need to decorate or feed the kiddies.  The wife and I do occasionally jump on the tractor and drive around to the local neighbors and go "Trick or drinking".  Instead of a pumpkin we each have a big mug that gets filled with various alcohloic beverages at the homes we visit.

I go out to dinner and then a few drinks home by 10:00.

This year, I will be working at Bush/Cheney heqdquarters until 4:00 p.m. on Halloween. I am going to try and take a bunch of Bush/Cheney bumper stickers (or fact cards or something) and pass those out with the candy this year!

what he said.

I often grab a glass of ice and go trick or treating, myself.

Word is out in the neighborhood that I'll be home, so most of the neighbors are sure to have a jug on hand.

To answer my own question, the wife and I have been married for 7 years.  We've handed out candy one year.

Two little bastards started kicking my door.  I told them to get the hell off my porch.  Last time I gave anything to the moochers.

We live on a pretty quiet street.  Had candy last year to hand out and only 1 kid came to the door... I think I rotted my teeth out eating the rest....
