I need m18 batteries.... My HO 12 and 8 ah are not fully charging. The 12 doesn't even want to charge. I know you can rip them apart and balance/shock them. But rather just get new and hope I have better results. Any deals? The forge stuff hardly goes on sale from what I see. |

I was gifted a 12AH and it wouldn't fully charge. I disassembled and got it balanced for a couple cycles and then wouldn't balance. I have an 8AH that looks like it needs balanced. Not to mention the weight of any Red battery that is above 5AH. |

There's usually some good deals for batteries around Black Friday or other holidays. The best I can think of at the moment is the 8AH Forge for $140 (plus shipping) at Clark's. They're an authorized dealer. I've been using M18 tools for 12 years and haven't had one battery go bad. I think that I have two 2.0s, two 5.0s, two 6.0s, one 9.0 and one 12.0. I also have nine M12 batteries with only one bad. All of my M12 tools and batteries were used professionally before I obtained them, so I don't know their age or how many cycles that they have. There are a lot of fake Milwaukee batteries out there, so I'm always skeptical when someone has experienced a lot of bad batteries. Maybe I've just been lucky. |

Worst part it was a known issue and I sat on it and missed the warranty window. With as many batteries as they sell, its a given that there will be some duds, just like cars. Ive got a shit ton of other M18 and M12 batteries, and those have been the only issues, fingers crossed |
