Glad I grabbed enough oil to get me through a few oil changes. Thanks as always, Foxtrot.  I am seriously considering running to my local Mazda dealer and getting some more Mazda SG1 gear oil for my transfer case and differential, and some more Mazda FZ transmission fluid. Before it totally vanishes. |

While it's been pointed out that we prepared for the next two to three oil changes and some did more than that, this a micro level effect. At the macro level when it goes beyond that point (2 years) oil changes will be the least of our worries in that macro madmax landscape. |

@Foxtrot08 I have a 2018 Nissan “Direct Injection” 5.6 motor. Since you’re the Omnipotent One, do you recommend 0-20, 5-20, or 5-30 for this engine? I’m only 1 oil change in with 5,300 original miles and I just changed it at 4k with 5-30 synthetic and a Mobil 1 filter |

I just bought it a few months ago from the original owner,old guy who carried grandkids around in it. According to the Carfax it had the oil changed at the dealer around 2k miles |

Local Walmart has a normal stocked shelf, ones and twos sold, but all normal grades and brands available. However, only Mobil 1 had any jugs still carrying the Dexos1 cert. I recall reading that was likely to happen, but this is the first Ive seen it in person. ETA, see above.

Well I’m guessing I should have filled my emergency winter fuel cans up. I just finished cycling them out all in the equipment this summer. So I’m reading a lot. But what’s the down and dirty summery of 100+ pages and today’s update. This seems to be getting worse and gas prices will come to rise until? I’m glad I grabbed 4 cases for my Raptor when this thread started. |

The process also produces coke and the feedstock for asphalt. The sulfur stripped from the diesel fuel can also be sold. |

We still pay global prices though. We still have plenty of crude. Cheaper, heavy sour crude just makes the refineries that process it, more economical. Meaning, right now, they make more money. It also puts a bit of a price cap on Canada heavy crude. So it will put some downward pressure on that pricing. |
