I know this should go in the Mag forum. But am heading to bed soon and need the information by the morning.

I found a local shop selling post ban mags (30 rouders) for $9 each. All in very good shape.

They are stamped LE or military use only. Can I as a person in the Military legally use these? I know it is splitting hairs, but its a hell of a price for some good mags.

If on official duty, sure.

If not, NO.

Will you get away with using them?  Probably.

just remember BIG trouble if you get caught with them off duty.

Saying that I would  buy a few anyway. They would be cache mags and defiantly not taken out in public. Odds are no one would ever check them. If they did it would be an addon for another charge. If you ever had a need for them at that point you would be a criminal already and it wouldn't matter anyway.

Thanks guys. Is kinda what I have been thinking. I can't find USGI 20s or 30s around here for anything less than $20  [:(]

I hate USGI mags, when it's raining and you use one it fills full of water.
I suggest that you drill a couple of "water drain holes" in the mag to alleviate that problem.
