OK, so the term "retard" isn't very nice, but, I see a lot of the members have not been able to figure out HOW TO get their stuff on the Forum for the rest of us to enjoy.
I, too, am a "retard" in this area!!! That said, will some of the members who know HOW TO POST PHOTOS please take the time to accurately describe the procedure to those of us "retards" who have difficulty in doing so? Details, please. Everybody likes a good picture; let's get the Forum brothers up to speed on this and we'll have more fun looking at our favorite subject... Uh-Duh, Thanks!!! |

Well, I can post a smilie. But I'm still a picture retard. Oh, well. |

1) YOu must have a net access server to host you pic. Wether this is your own web page or services like photopoint, webshots etc.
2) Copy url of photo. Make sure the end tag is a .jpg NOrmaly if you right click on the photo and click on properties, the url will show. Just highlight that, right click on it and click on copy. 3) cut and paste url on your post making sure to use img tags before and aft of the url Example: (img)www.webshots.com/*908#/A*00/lortrader.jpg(/img) replace the () with [] |

Hi, Boyz!!! I'll be dipped in $hit! I did it! Lo, and Behold, the infamous BusMaster007 Bushmaster Dissipator...in one of its many guises. Please notice the "Public Transit--Ride the Bus" sticker on the box. Now that I have this figgered out somewhat, look for more posts with photos. Hot Diggity Damn! |
|
A couple of other views of the Dissipator.
When I figure out how to use the scanner to edit and lighten the photos, it'll be much better. For now, another test to see if I'm getting this right. Thanks for the help y'all. Hell I give up.
This is the raw copy of the image at Photopoint: albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&f=0 I have a Mac not a PC and does not work. What do I have to add, cut, copy, etc to make it work. Give an example based on my above link. |
|
I don't know anything about Macs, but with a PC you copy the properties (picture location) and paste it into {img}here{/img} between the brackets. Omit the "http://" stuff from the location. Substitute the "{}" with "[]".

It does not work !!!
This is the original link: albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&f=0 I have tried: 1-[img]albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&f=0[/img] and... 2-[img]www.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&f=0[/img] and does not work. |
|
Dacon:
Here's what the command line looks like... {img}albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&Sequence=0{/img} Now, just substitute the { with a [. |
|
Dacon---
don't give up. From where your pictures are, is there a "full size" picture? That's the one you want to copy the URL (or location) from. Right click and copy that. Come here to the Forum and select the New Reply. Click on the Board Code, which will open up in a new window on the task bar and it will tell you how to post the image you have waiting in the form of the URL you right clicked and copied. In the Message/Reply area, now you are ready to get the picture installed(the full size version you copied from wherever your pictures are saved). Now, do this: {img}paste the URL you copied here{/img} [ ]paste the URL you copied here[/ ] The reason you are substituting the {} with [] is because that's what works on the Forum. I tried to use the correct format to illustrate and what you see below is what happened. [img]paste the URL you copied here[/img] Your picture should come up when you Submit the Message. I hope this works for you. Try it. Edited to correct my above mentioned mistake... |
|
Quoted: Yes, I did EXACTLY that and no good... View Quote I did what SWS said and for some reason is not posting. |

Dacon, copy my example exactly and change the brackets. Then post that string.
|
|
SWS,
I just got mu IQ tested and is over 16... This is what i did: 1- went to your reply, highlited your example and from EDIT menu I did COPY. 2- came here and from EDIT menu did PASTE you example. 3- changed ALL { } with [ ] and here it goes... [img]albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1698446&a=13044494&p=49227213&Sequence=0[/img] |
|
Dacon, I think that there was something wrong with your original URL of the picture location. It was missing something.
I'm going to bed now. |
