Police raided an apartment on Clinton Street just after ten last night. They seized at least a dozen guns.

They also found three inert grenades and four canisters with fuses.

Police don't think there's any terrorist link to the case. The 45-year-old man is now facing a series of weapons charges.

I wonder what these asshat reporters think about when they walk into a gun store...or god-forbid a real MILITARY arsenal.   They must shit themselves with all those guns around just WAITING to jump up on their own accord and start shooting.

That's not how it works. The guns don't start shooting on their own accord, they posess the minds of otherwise law abiding peaceful people, and force them to go on killing sprees against the person's will.

it's a dupe thread

Complying with New York City firearms law is a painful process that must be painstakingly done if you live here.

It is in the Bronx without a premises license apparently. This guy just learned that owning guns in his home city bears no resemblence to owning guns in about 47 other states.

In New York City any firearm is illegal without a permit.  I'm sure they will find some reason to make a replica grenade illegal but there is no law on the books against it.

Thank god I don't live in New York.

"Weapons charges", that's a pretty broad statement, why don't they state what specific laws he was violating?

Excuse me while I adjust my tinfoil hat, but I can't help but feel that some day we will ALL be guilty of "weapons charges", whatever the hell that means.

But military and police guns have special qualities that prevent them from needless thrusts per squeeze.

The reporter would not be aghast because the guns belong to the govt, which is allowed to have such weapons of war, but what really rattles him up is that it is in the hands of a private, ordinary citizen. That's dangerous.
