Another brainless "free momia" crap. First, Chong did not contest the charge and pleaded guilty. Second, Chong was busted for sell drug products to minors which is a federal crime (and multiple state crime as well). He crossed the line and needed to go to jail.... there is no excuse for targeting minors with alcohol, cigerettes, or drug products. As they say on Crossfire.... byebye Chong! |

stator, I don't recall the charges having anything to do with sales to minors. IIRC Chong's Web site had the standard "By clicking here you certify that you are over 18..." disclaimer. Do you have anything to show otherwise? BTW - The applicable law is Title 21, Section 863 of the United States Code. See www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/21/863.html - There is no sentence enhancement for selling paraphernalia to a minor. Selling it or offering it for sale to anyone is illegal, as is shipping it IMO that's pretty lame anyway. When I was a kid people used to make pipes out of beer cans, potatos, pieces of aluminum foil, or just about anything. And cigarette papers and pipes "traditionally intended for use with tobacco products" are exempt even though they work just fine for pot. MEANWHILE, IN THE REAL WORLD OF DRUG ENFORCEMENT...
