Pssst be nice, I think he's in pain.  I once had a toothache that hurt so bad I used the eraser of a pencil on my wrist until I gave myself eraser burn.  The eraser burn hurt way more than the toothache and aspirin wouldn't do anything for the burn.

Well, thanks for all the love and concern.  I feel much better today after doing nothing for 2 days.  Now I have to get back to work at the woodshop.

Yes, I know I bitch alot about my back.  This is the one place I can do that so I don't take it out on the family.  So thanks for putting up with me.

I am at the point where I really hate pills, so I rarely take them anymore(yes, that is the truth).

Yes they work.  That's the problem!!!  They take away most of the pain so that I end up doing stuf that ends up hurting me.  Without pills I have learned what my limitations are and as a result I feel the pain before it gets to bad.

That and piulls do a HUGE amount of damage to you liver over a long period of time.

At this stage I probably know more about pain pills than most doctors.

ANd I wish I didn't.........

4 collasped disk at L2 thru S1 plus nerve damage..  Had several surgeries including a double level back fussion at L4 thru S1 that failed (IE no bone growth).  That means they cut me open, used a spatula to move everything out of the way, chisled my old dick out and then HAMMERED 4 titanium screws into my vertibre.  Took me 3-4 months to learn how to walk all over again.

SHIT!!!  Writing all of that brought back memories(trauma?) that I wuish I had forgotten!

I remember once back in the mid-80's I pulled the trans out of my '72 Cutlass. I tried to lift it to move it but couldn't so I left it where it was. The next morning I woke up and rolled onto my side and went back to sleep. I then woke up about an hour later and couldn't move, my back felt like it was being ripped apart. Even taking a breath hurt.  I ended up taking 5 Darvons in a span of about a hour, it didn't make my back feel any better but I didn't care anymore at that point. I think it was a major spasm or something. Ever since then I really watch what I lift and am very careful and I've not had any more problems since then. I feel for ya' pard. Having your back hurt affects your whole body. Get some rest and do whatever ya' have to do to feel better.
