I go to this Vietnamese gal who cuts my hair for $12.00 then she washes my hair a massages my scalp for another 20 minutes so I tip her an extra $10.00

I pay $20 and tip $5 to the woman who used to cut my hair.  But I have tons of cow licks and she knew how to cut it well so I stuck with her.  Now that I've moved to Dallas I desperately need a cut, but don't want to let someone new butcher my hair and have it sticking up like Kevin Bacon in Footloose.

Dang, I  only paid $20 bucks for a good set of Remington clippers with all the extras. I've used them for about 2 years now cutting my hair about every month or so, Just think of the money that I've saved and can spend on ammo/guns.

I get my hair cut on a military base... it's like $6.25 these days.  I usually give them $10 ($3.75 tip), and they love me for it.  You would not believe how many cheapskates don't tip anything in there... YMMV.

I get my hair trimmed every 3 to 4 weeks, so I tend to tip ladies more than the men...

If a man at the barber shop cuts my hair, i give him an extra $1.00 tip

if pretty lady cuts my hair I give her $3.00 to $5.00 tip

My flat-top cost me $12 and I go after work so they usually have to work about 15 to 20 minutes after closing.  I appreciate the late service so I give $20.

My girl is absolutely the best-built woman I have ever seen and beautiful to boot.  She cuts, then gently washes, then cuts the few strays again, then rubs some kind of smelly stuff into my scalp.  She charges $14, so I give her $20.  After two years of this she argues every danged time that it's "too much."  

She doesn't seem to realize I'd pay that just to sit and look at her for twenty minutes.

You used to tip so that the barber would use a little extra time, light your cigarette and throw on some butchwax for free.  They charge for everything now.  I consider it a tip that I come back year after yaer and don't complain.

I surely have, susally 2 to 3 dollars if I relly like the haircut, service, & their price isn't to outragous.

If it's 7, & will pay 9 or 10.

If it's not good & they charge 10 standard, I leave, & don't go back.

16 bucks +4.  He takes his time with me and shaves around neck and ears with new razor, as well.  good haircut, IMO, too.  i've been to some places that charge more, some that charge less, and none of them have been terribly good.

sometimes I go to the barber shop and they dont do a very good job, when I get home I always have to trim around the ears with my disposable razor to get the hairs he missed, plus they dont even use a razor and hot lather anymore to finish it, so why should I leave a tip? poor service = no tip

Im constantly changing barbers, I rarely go back to the same barbershop, I go to about 6 different barbershops or hair cutting salons.

average price I pay for haircuts $8.00 to $11.00 not including the tip, I only tip if they deserve it
