Uncle Sam has been kind enough to invite me and my platoon to an all expense paid trip to the Middle East. We mobilized and are off to the training site tomorrow. I have really enjoyed my time on the board and I would like to thank goatboy for his assistance. Take care everyone, I will try to post from time to time and send pictures. Travel ONLY in well armed groups. NEVER let your guard down. Trust NOBODY but your brothers in arms. Keep your situational awareness tuned to its maximum sensitivity, and make sure you've got a round in the chamber 100 percent of the time. Ears up, head down, cocked, locked, and ready to rock, doc! Thanks alot guys for your support. It means alot to me. I have been wearing a uniform since 1987. I have served as a platoon sergeant and now an infantry platoon leader. I have been combat arms and support. I have traveled the world during my 11 years on active duty and helped make the world safe for our children. I got out of the Marines in 1999 out of frustration at a system that I felt didn't appreciate the efforts of those that served. I came back in after 9-11 because we are at war and my country needed me...and Americans were dying. I don't give a flying fuck what some jackass liberal thinks about this mission. I know, and my men know, we are doing what is right for America and for the Iraqis. We are fighting this war now so our children won't have to later. It is going to be a dirty war. Viscious and impersonal IED attacks that we will not be able to retaliate against, an unseen enemy. Those that will decide to make a stand against us will suddenly discover how quickly their lives come to an end. When I look at my soldiers, I see the best that America has to offer. I see your sons, brothers, and friends. I feel their pride... and their fear. My sworn oath to them is to lead them. To make sure they are properly trained, equipped, and taken care of. I can promise them, and you, I will do my duty to them. I don't give a rat's ass about my OER or any damned medals. My reward will be to bring them all back alive. I have been blessed with a good platoon. A proactive platoon sergeant. All of my squad leaders have active duty experience, 2 of them combat veterans. I have team leaders with recent combat and active duty experience. I have soldiers that want to be exactly where they are at. I couldn't ask for more. And they have a message for the enemy:  The A train is coming...and you are fucked. God bless. |
