Every day when I come home from work, I go to open the window next to my computer, and see one of these bastards outside the inner glass window, but inside the screen. Sons of bitches!

I hate yanking open the window and trying to swat it before it escapes into the room.

Looks like a wasp or hornet. Oh lucky you! Go get a can of Raid...

Go outside and swat it.  Pancake that sucker between the screen and window.

This may be the only bug I ever had qualms about.

Looks like a 'dirt dobber' from the very narrow waist. They don't sting unless you grab them. Eat bugs out of the yard. A nuisance when if their nests are visible on your house. Best left alone as a 'friendly'.

If it is a wasp, then it is free game.

These guys are our friends.  No stinger, non-aggressive (though I've heard it said the front leg-claw things can break a finger), and they eat many less welcome bugs.

Some garden stores and nurseries sell egg sacs of these, so you can put a bunch in your yard.

Mantis's are bad-assed bugs.
I watched one snag a small lizard, kill it and eat it in about an hour.

I am friend of the Mantis... I hate bugs, but I love these because they hate other bugs as much as I do.

The shop vac is your friend.  It is the destroyer of all bugs that can fit down its tube.   Crank it up, suck em down, leave it on for a minute and if theres enough crap in it theyll suffocate and die.  No muss, no fuss, no cleanup.

How long can these things go without food?

He's still alive and still stuck in the window.

I just want to see how long it takes him to starve to death.
