Why do so many people admire & enrich this man when he is an obvious racist, socialist & America hater? Why are so many people so easily duped by leftist propaganda? Why are so many in our ranks intent on tearing down the very nation that has afforded them prosperity, security, and freedom? All I heard immediately after 9/11 was "things have changed, we can never go back to old ways of thinking", yet most people are back to taking our security for granted & caring only about the pebble in their preverbal shoe. Why are so many people so ignorant, short sighted, and self-absorbed? Why, why, why??? ... my heart is heavy & my thoughts are troubled. |
So true. I realized at an early age that most people are incredibly stupid. After all, why bother to think for yourself when someone else will do it for you. How many people do you know who actually think about anything meaningful during the course of their day? Nowdays, most people don't even have the ability to think. |
I heard what was being said in the halls of academia, and in Follywood, and from "respected journalists" and from the Leftist politicians. "Pacifism." "Measured Response." "Healing." "Root causes." American flags were ripped off Berkley Fire Trucks and taken down from libraries in Florida so as not to be "offensive" in the days after 9-11. CNN's Matahari and the rest of the alphabet "infotainment" channels did expose after expose on the "Plight Of The Palestinians" and delved into the "root cause" of Arab hatred for America - surprise, 9-11 was OUR fault. "Peace" marches were held. GWBush was called a "terrorist" and equated with OBL for getting ready to invade Afghanistan - yes right after 9-11. Oh sure, his approval rating was 90%. But that 10% was NOT going away. They were tenacious, relentless and kept pounding away at their message.... while we true-believers quieted down (or were shouted down) and cast those soft, middle-of-the-road moderates right back before the emaciated pack of jackles on the radical left. The radical left never gave up. We also saw the usual suspects in Congress give GWBush a pass for three months - exactly three months. The first week in January the Democrats held a big gathering in DC and they regrouped, refocused and THAT was the beginning of the end for their support for GWBush. Daschle, Kennedy, The Beast, Conyers, Kerry, Gephardt... they came out of that weekend retreat tanned, rested and re-energized to destroy GWBush and regain political power, terrorists-be-damned. Slowly but surely, one-by-one they peeled away their fake masks they wore on the steps of the capitol singing "God Bless America" and put on their brass knuckles and sharpened their fangs. It was so orchestrated it was unnoticable. Heaven forbid they all jump on GWBush all at once in 2002. But they had an election to win. And by October 2002, they were pulling no punches. The Toricelli switcheroo, the judicial filibusters, the growing attacks on GWBush's handling of the economy... death by a thousand lashes wasn't just the Moslem's method.

You should try living in the town he grew (and he is still growing) up in, Davison MI. The local paper (the Flint Journal) has his fat face and some type of story about him at least once a week. Latey it has been every day something has been written about him. Most of the brain dead, sheeple, UAW union "workers" think he is a god or somethng (maybe the god of fat). He has all the anwsers for them and he is trying to get the people of this country to see things the way they really are. Someone had written into the opinion colum of the paper saying that the Bush adminastration was using some brain washing waves that go throught the TV to convince the U.S. public to vote for Bush this ellection. And that only people who were true to heart and independant thinkers (and then she put in (), democrats) could see the truth and avoid the waves. (Ya I know we have some real nut jobs here ).Every time the lard ass makes a "movie" this place becomes unbearable. I think sgtar15 hit the nail on the head, People are stupid. |

I don't think people are "stupid" per se, but I think they want to follow the path of least resistance. When it boils down to it, people want to keep their head down, do their daily chores, feed their children and make it through another day. 9/11 changed the way a lot of us look at the world and the people in it. But other returned to their old, more comfortable way of thinking. They didn't want to be burdened with 'new things.' It's easier that way. Diligence is hard work. Searching for the truth and fighting for what is right takes more time than some people are willing to allot. So when someone like Michael Moore comes and presents a version of events that is easily digestible and seems to sum up things very neatly, people grab on to it because it doesn't involve much thinking. It's the same reason why people prefer to watch the news and the 5 second soundbyte rather than read a newspaper. People like Michael Moore know this and fully exploit it. But instead of using facts, he uses conjecture, innuendo and outright lies to structure his film. Events in the film are presented in rapid succession with no explanation or context provided. In perfect Machevellian harmony, 'the ends truly justfy the means.' As long as the greater good (his political agenda) is achieved, the manner to which it was met doesn't matter. I think Michael Moore is extremely dangerous. He's a propagandist with his own radical political agenda and well financed enablers in Hollywood to back him up. He is the new head of the Ministery of Public Enlightenment. What we need is a truth squad. Someone who can aquire a copy of his movie before it leaves theaters and dissect it, chapter by chapter, scene by scene. Find the innacuracies and send them to the press. Have people ask him at appearances about the inaccuracies. Force him to explain himself. The last thing a liar wants is to be exposed publically. It may be too late to stop the liberal momentum for this film, but might give people pause the next time he promotes a film. |

"They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet... in thrall to conniving, thieving, smug pricks. "We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don't know about anything that's happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing. National Geographic produced a survey which showed that 60 per cent of 18-25 year olds don't know where Great Britain is on a map. And 92 per cent of us don't own a passport." Would you pay homage to a demagogue like this, especially a fat mama's boy of a demagogue? |
"The Path of Least Resistance".... that 's it, precisely. For Mr. and Mrs. Average American, I think it all boils down to the above...and individual liberty isn't on that path. |
Sounds like MM is saying the exact same thing as everybody here. That people are stupid. I'm glad I am able to co-exist with such an elite bunch. Can we get the doll version of this? ![]() |

The guy is a 'god' to the liberals around the world. He is doing the image of the US huge harm in the rest of the world. The image he is portraying to the rest of the world is of a nation of educationally subnormal, racist rednecks, armed to the teeth and slaughtering each other in droves and rapidly riding to hell in a right wing hand basket of starving people sleeping on the streets and crime completely out of control. It's an image that is total bullshit but were is the rage against his lies? I wonder if the average American Joe saw how MM's drivel is used around the world to rubbish their country, would they be so tolerant of him? Andy |
Because he offers simple solutions to complex problems: He starts by asking the type of questions people would like to ask. If you watch his movies, he goes after the “big guy” and puts them on the spot. In a train wreck kind of way it is entertaining. His, “When did you stop beating your wife questions”, make’s good entertainment. He grew up in Flint the birthplace of GM and the UAW. The real truth is he is a communist and he stands for nothing. He mocks the working man but the people of Flint are too stupid to recognize they are part of the joke as well. He grew up in the culture of Flint. The union was always good at cutting off its nose to spite its face. GM did not kill Flint, the UAW did. MM is part of that culture. The hard-core Union guys, who sucked the tit of GM, would constantly rail against the company to justify their position. In that position you cannot agree with management so eventually the news always ends up being all bad. The story goes like this: Management is stupid and incompetent. The workers could run the company better. "They make millions but waste it on things like automation that only improve profitability and gets rid of good union jobs." Therefore, the “Man” was out to get you so you need to get back at the man. Everyone rallies behind every perceived injustice to support the union. Because they are too stupid to understand the big picture i.e., Global competitiveness, they fight for the status quo. It all sounds good from the shop floor until you realize you just killed the golden goose. Unfortunately, this cycle led to GM pulling the plug in Flint. In the same light MM has taken the UAW populist agenda out into the world. Our leaders are all stupid and incompetent. They are all liars trying to keep the little man down. In this case, the US is GM and the world is the UAW. The answer to your question is as old as human nature. In a survival situation MM is the guy that would complain about you having control over the supplies. He would try to convince everyone you were not smart enough to control their fate and the “people” should decide. Once the crowed consumed all of the supplies, he would hold you up as an example of incompetent leadership because you ran out of provisions on your watch and are responsible for the suffering of the people. By “exposing” this he would be held up as a prophet by the masses. |
| Best line I read about f 911: A couple of liberal asshats were gushing about how great the movie was and how it opened their eyes about it. A person like me and probably most of you said something like, "So you paid 8 dollars to have some fat clown tell you you're stupid?" |
