Check out the Arc AAA.

Yeah it's pricey for such a little thing, but worth every penny.

I carry a Surefire E2E everyday

I used to carry a SureFire P6.

Now I carry an Arc-AAA Premium Edition.

It’s not even close to as bright as the P6. It’s not a tac-light, it’s a flashlight. It will not stun an attacker with blinding light like Surefire’s do but it will do the job of a basic waterproof flashlight. Not a tac-light or a search light.

The whole thing is about the size of a AA battery.

My wife was so impressed by mine she asked me to buy her one.

Surefire G2 Nitrolon....

Picked it up at the last funshow for $25. What a deal on a GREAT bright light!

I suggest a Surefire G2.

Unless you are looking for something smaller.

i keep a photon microlight attached to my key ring so as long as my keys are on me (and they always are) i have some form of emergency light

but i realize the need for tactical light when i'm carrying.  problem is surefire has so damn many models i can't decide which one to go with.  just want one that's bright enough to momentarily blind a BG and small enough that i'll actually have it with me most of the time.  G2,  G2Z, 6P, E1E, Z2 HOW THE HELL DO YOU DECIDE?

any advice is welcome

Great flashlights everyone has suggested and have a 6p myself as well as dozens of others.

The one I use most though is a Photon II which I have on every key chain I have.  That way regardless of what I wear size doesn't matter and I always have a light. I don't have to remember to put it in my pocket or worry about the bulge.

I have an Arc AAA on my keychain and an ARC LSH with twisty cap for EDC. If I need something a little more powerful then I carry an Elektrolumens XM-2 on my belt.

I am an expert on this today. Our power is out because of the Texas storms and I gt a chance to work out my Gerber/CMT ULTRA LED LIGHT. Also calle Gerber infinity.

One AA battery, bright, and lasts 25 hours on one AA.

I know it's not as bright as a Surefire(have one of those too, and love it), but lasts forever and can put it in a front pocket and/or a key chain.

Surprisingly bright for a small flashlight and very durable.

I'll second this response.  I bought mine from ArmaLube as well.  Surprisingly bright light - I find I use it more and more for everyday things.  Its kept on my keychain with a clip (so I can remove when I need it for other things).  I've even used the included pocket clip to attach the light to my hat for hands-free operation.

If you need a REALLY bright light (I.e. tactical illumination) than the G2 is hard to beat for the price.  It has the same light output as the 6P but is lighter and about half the price.  Light output options are 65lumens for 60minutes or 120 Lumens for 20 minutes (with the P61 bulb).

I have all 3 (Infinity Ultra, G2 & 6P).  The Infinity is used far more often (90% of the time) with the 6p & G2 mostly being used when the extra powere is really needed.

The E2e has quickly become my favorite light.  It's just the right size, very easy to carry everyday and is plenty powerful even for tactical occasions.

I'm already planning to purchase a E2d very soon...

If you are willing to sacrifice a few CP's for size and battery life try the Pelican L1.  I've used one for awile and it's pretty bombproof.  LED/6k CP/130 hrs battery life/waterproof/and it fits on your keyring or comes with a lanyard.  Lifetime guarantee...run it over with a tank and they'll replace.  $11.00.

I have kept an ASP Solitaire clipped on my belt loop every day since I found them.  It is NOT overly bright, but will light your path for about 20 yards.  They are cheap, have a lifetime replacement warranty on the bulb and battery, and even come in colors to match, as well as camo.  Definitely not a "tactical" light, but a handy little light to have on hand about fifty times a day.

SureFire E2 (or one of their isotopes, E2E, E2D, Outdoorsman), same lumenage as the C2 I carry, but substantially smaller.

Don't go with the E1, as its 15 lumens are a joke compared to the 60 of the E2, and it's not really THAT much smaller.

I carry the ARC AAA premium always.

Actually this is next on my list:

Streamlight Twin Task single Lithium 123 3 LED or one Xenon.

Here's the link for information:

I figure I can use my used 6p batteries which I replace as soon as the light dims a bit in this.

I use one of the photon keychain lights for a lot of things.  The surefire 6P is carried with me most of the time, but it's a bit big for a pocket, and doesn't have the clip, so it ends up in a holster most times.
