I am looking for a list of the leading causes of death among children, if I remember correctly firearms was at the bottom of the list I am also trying to find how many crimes a day are stopped by gun owning citizens, if I remember correctly it was something like 5000. I will need links to back these up, any help is appreciated. |

In 1993 there were 1334 drowning and 528 firearm-related accidental deaths from ages 0-19 years old. Firearms outnumber pools by a factor of over 30:1. Thus the risk of drowning in a pool is nearly 100 times higher than from firearm-related accident for everyone, and nearly 500 times for ages 0-5. (National Center of Health Statistics, and the National Spa and Pool Institute) Another one of my favorites. |
19 seems a little late. I think 15 should be the cap, as at 16+ gang related stuff begins to be a major part of statistic; even if not gang related, alot of hoodlums don't know how to handle their new (illegal) toys. |
