Do you own a Platinum (silver) colored gamecube console? If you do I need to know if you have had any trouble with it. I got two defective platinum consoles and need to know if all platinums are defective.

It was a while ago but I remember the light would turn on but the disk would not spin. My bro is going to get a GC and I found a great price a platinum one but before I tell him about it I wanted to know if they are known to be defective.

hmmm, not that I know of, mine doesn't get as much use as my PS2 but its worked well so far.

Nope, had mine since November and have done some long hours playing Wind Waker. The girl at Best Buy tried to talk me into a warranty because she went through 2 supposedly. What I want to know is that if the Platinum is so limited Edition, how come I keep seeing them everywhere?

We had one that went tits up. We sent it back, and received a new one. The new one works just fine.
