My divorce was finalized this morning, around 9AM. I got the house & remaining minor child, no spousal support. She got stuck with the bills she ran up...kinda unusual. After 22 years, it's a bittersweet victory and now it's time to move on. I need to get my head on straight after years of torment...you have no idea. For some reason, I kept it to myself, but I know deep down inside, I would have gotten more support here than I needed if I had opened up. Thanks for watchin' my back and puttin' up with me. anothergene, BTDT, came home early from working the nightshift, SURPRISE! Married at 22, divorced at 24 with custody 1-1/2 yo son. Struggled in the early years and now he's 27 and a fine young man. I consider children to be like a 401k account, the more YOU put into it, the bigger the payout. Hang in there and focus on the successes in life. There's enough idiots around to point out the failures, don't dwell on them. Carry on and good luck. Mike |
