I was reading a webpage and I noticed that the wireless base station wireless activity LED light was blinking.
My laptop was off.

I unplugged the base station for a couple minutes, then plugged it back in.
Within a couple minutes the light was blinking again, so I unplugged it and set up the base station security.

I had reset everthing yesterday morning and had not retset the security features.

I pulled out the laptop and fired it up and I opened up the network program and found another network (my base station was still off)!

I was able to connect to it with no problems.

I guess I have a neighbor who has an unsecured wireless connection since I have been able to connect to it for the past day.
I figure they were hitting my wireless signal when their signal was too weak.

I reset my security on the base station and I have not noticed any activity since then.

With wireless it can be easy to hit your neighbors stuff.  Watch what you share on the network.

No network set-up.

The base station plugs into an out port of the router and the desk-top plugs into another out port of the router.

No file sharing or print sharing is allowed on either computer.

Thanks for the tip!
