When I was a kid we did something in a science class at school. You take an ice cream bucket. cut a small hole in the bottom corner and run a hunk of surgical tube through it. then you put a small funnel in the tubing and sape it to the side of the pail so it's facing up. Then you fill the small funnel with some flour. then you place a lit candle in the bucket, put the lid on, and then give a blast of air from a compressor into the tube. The flour gets blown into a cloud, cloud is ignighted by the candle, and the top of the bucket is blown off with a good bang. The teacher was showing us what happens when a grain elevator explodes. Seems like it would be pretty easy to take out a building with a scaled up version of this. |
Be careful when you stick your head over the bucket to blow out the candle. Singed a few eyebrows when I missed the candle...

A fireball that can be seen for miles is always a good thing, trust me!!!!
