My computer has been kicking me off the internet.  I can use my browser for a few minutes, then it just stops working.  The hardware connection (cable internet) is fine.  I reboot, and internet starts working again.  For a few minutes.  Then the connections fail.

I'm using XP.  This happen to anyone else?  How do you fix this?

run virus scan

download ad aware and spy bot

start a ping and let it run for a few minutes and see if your ping dies at the same time your browser quits working (ping IP_ADDRESS -t)

Problems with LAN drivers?  LAN settings?

If the LAN hardware is embeded on the motherboard, how about corrupted chipset drivers?

I've seen that before.

download this to see everything that's running and look for anything weird
