Hello all... im in the market for a relatively inexpensive gun safe.  I've looked around the internet and have found that a gun safe can be very expensive ($500 up) and exceed my needs.  I only have couple rifles and handguns.  Any suggestions?  Thanks...

Absolut, how much does that Brinks weigh?  I need one I can tote up some stairs.

350lbs.  it took me and my dad putting it end over end to get it up the stairs to my apartment

Yeah, that's what I'd be looking at.  3rd floor apartment.  A friend and I could probably handle it with a handtruck.  I don't want to get a big one until I actually settle into a house.  I'll have to check the Kmart here.  Thanks for the info.

How many guns does that hold? I need room  for 6 long guns and 4 handguns.

i think its advertised as 14 long guns, but even if they were all 10/22's it would be a tight fit, realistically prob. 9 or 10

That brinks sounds decent idea for me.  It wouldnt hold everything but would hold some of the more important stuff.

For a real cheepie idea, get an old apartment size fridge, bolt a heavy latch to it, place PAINT STORAGE on the outside and throw a desicant package inside. Bolt it to the garage wall if you want. Who will waste time breaking into a paint locker? Dosent look so great but the price is right.

or get a real fridge and put firearms in there, now all of your guns will be cool in a literal sense.
