| My freind who happens to be a Reserve Deputy was sitting by his truck in a field and out of nowhere a guy pops around the side of his truck riding a bicycle and under his arm is a VCR and the stranger tries to sell him the bike and the VCR for $15 and gives him some crap story about how his truck broke down and he needs a $15 part and let the guy keep the bike and VCR and gave the guy the $15 for free then gave the stranger a ride not to his truck and not to the auto parts store but to his house. We all know the chances of both of those items being stolen is very high why do people do such stupid stuff? |

I had some guy pull the same,"I'm broke down and need $15 to fix my car to get back to Bugtussel" or whatever line, as I was walking out of a gunshop. I held up the Sig box and said, thumbing back towards the shop,"Sorry, dude. Just spent all my money in there." Not to worry about him stealing my gun. I had a Beretta with a 15 round mag on my belt. |
| [smart ass]I have a friend who happens to be a reserve deputy and one night all of us guys on mid-shift went to IHOP for lunch and we were sitting there and we were in BDUs and there were some kids who were making fun of us for being in the Army and my friend pulled out his badge and told one of the kids that in addition to being in the Air Force he is also a cop and he is allowed to arrest punk kids. Then the kid's friends made fun of the kid and the teenage kid cried?[/smart ass] |

your friend is what we call in the LE proffession; A FAILURE!!! fine, give the dick a ride home. but try to get serial#s for the items, plus gather as much intel as possible about this turd and where he lives. As an LEO, i hear time & time again, and it is true: "community policing begins with the good folks that reside there." he forgot that! man, i could be plowed off my ass. if were given such a golden opportunity, i'd milk that situation for all its worth. who knows when all said & done, you'd probably come up with some stolen firearms that some owner would love to see safely back home. the smallest most insignificant situation is when you find the good stuff. your buddy needs to go back to the academy. |
