Problem:
My internet explorer browser will not delete login information (username/password) unless I restart PC. I’m even clearing the cookies, temporary internet files and history.

What happens:
A login screen for my business website is my homepage just like the rest of the PC’s in the office and it’s only doing it on this one particular CPU.
It will prompt me to enter the username/password on the main page. I do so, and it takes me into the website. When I exit out of I.E. and then re-open the program again, it should take me to the main login screen, (as it does on the others) instead, it goes directly into the web page without asking for username/password even when I check the box NOT to save the information.

When I click on my homepage icon on the browser, instead of taking me to the login screen, again, as it does with the other PC’s, it takes me directly into the website bypassing the username/password screen. If I clear the cookies, etc and re-start the PC it does it correctly for the first login only.

A simple solution is to use another browser obviously, but being a company computer I haven’t done that yet. Anyone know why the login screen is not being prompted as with the others? Software glitch?

Internet Explorer 6.0.2

Thanks

Is the page you're accessing a secure page, ie. SSL encrypted? If it is you might want to try checking the "do not save encrypted pages to disk" via Tools/Internet Options/Advanced towards the bottom of those options.
